"Intern" Canoe Trip- June 25, 2009

After 2 years wait, we finally got to go on the intern canoe trip. It was well worth it. A great day in the blazing hot sun, sipping cold beers with good company and cool water. So what we took 4.5h to go 3 miles. Paddling is overrated.

S if for Sharice- June 24, 2009

To celebrate the end of 2nd year, we got all the way to S. Sharice was gracious enough to host at 36 weeks in her pregnancy and made quite the Korean bbq. Tara added a delicious ice cream cake and all was right in the world.

Botanica and Sabor- June 23, 2009

One of the best parts about going home is seeing old friends. I'm lucky that a lot of them stayed for residency and were available to enjoy the botanica gardens and eat some really delicious Spanish food. The ceviche didn't quite live up to Peru's, but the mango mojito was mmm, mm good.

Father's Day- June 21, 2009

It was wonderful being able to spend Father's day in Wichita with my dad. Grace and I spent our usual Sunday lounging and dinner with Daddy. For me it was just nice to be home. For Grace, she got to go out to eat twice in a day since we went out to lunch with my Grampa earlier.

Med-Peds Picnic- June 14, 2009

The med peds picnic is something to look forward each year. A time to send off the graduating 4th years with their roast, reconnect with your fellow residents, and most importantly eat a bunch of good food. I always leave stuffed and this year was no exception. This year was also the year that I actually felt close to the 4th years, so that is a little sad to see them go though many are staying.

Filming the Roast- June 2009

Ndidi and I definitely did not know what we were getting into when we started filming the roast. It was quite the ordeal and took over my life for a month. Scheduling for people to film, shooting, editing. So glad it's over and I think it turned out pretty funny.

Abby and Sharice's Baby Shower- May 30, 2009

Abby and Sharice are due exactly 1 month apart, so it was only natural that they have a joint shower. Dawn was a wonderful host and I'm sure the boys enjoyed the baby shower games including guess the poopy diaper candy bar.
