Tara and Oliver's Wedding- Sept 25, 2010

We all took a mini-vacation for the weekend and spent 36 hours in Chicago for Tara and Oliver's wedding.  It was a beautiful ceremony, a really cool venue for the reception, and a great dance party.  The 12-piece band was amazing- they were able to pull off everything from old school slow hits to Indian music to contemporary hip hop.  It was a good time and Tara and Oliver seemed so happy.

3rd Annual Med-Peds Camping Trip- Sept 10-12, 2010

I've been looking forward to our camping trip for months.  We finally got our act together and made it to Red River Gorge to explore all the caves and arches of the National Forest.  We're getting soft and our ranks are swelling with toddlers so we decided to go with a giant cabin instead of tents this year.  The Elk Lodge fit the bill and while sleep with a bunch of toddlers and infants in one cabin is more difficult, we made it through.  We got in a couple great hikes and ate a lot of delicious foods including our traditional hobo packs and banana boats.  Yum.  It was great to spend time together as a class.

Marian's Housewarming BBQ- Sept 6, 2010

We made the long trek out to Lebanon, OH to check out Marian's new digs.   Marian is now a grown-up, married with a real job, 2 dogs, and a house in the burbs. The food was great and it was wonderful to see her digging in to her new life.

Canoeing on the Little Miami- Sep 4, 2010

Erin had a great idea to enjoy the summer weather and spend the afternoon paddling down the Little Miami River.  It was a beautiful, mild day though a little chilly to partake in the rope swing that we encountered about an hour in.  I think Linda really wanted to swing into the chilly waters, but alas we left it to the kids.

The Reds are in 1st- Aug 28, 2010

So the Reds are actually in 1st place in their division and have a realistic shot at the playoffs which brings a lot more excitement to their games.  Angie's dad got us some amazing tickets near the field and though the Reds lost to the Cubs it was a good game.

Cincy Masters Men's Finals- Aug 22, 2010

The Finals were just as fun.  It seemed that all of Cincinnati was there to watch Federer beat Fish for the trophy.  At least most of Cincinnati was on the highway leading up to it.  It was a sunny beautiful day to watch some quality tennis and it was fun to hang with Elizabeth and Angie too.

Cincy Masters Men's Semifinals- Aug 21, 2010

It's really cool to have such an amazing and big tennis tournament in Cincinnati.  All the biggest names come to town to try to win this big hardcourt warm-up tournament to the US Open.  So it was really cool that Kim and I got to go to both the Men's semifinal with Federer vs. Baghdatis and the doubles semifinal with the Bryan Brothers.
