Grillin' Out for my birthday- July 11, 2009

I love a good bbq and having people over to just hang out and eat some meat. While it was a little rainy outside, we still had a good time at the house. Kim out-did herself with homemade gazpacho and some other tasty delights. I contributed with some "Pungria," a cross between punch and sangria. Yummy.

Nectar and my birthday- July 11, 2009

Cincinnati is actually a great place for good local restaurants and Nectar is a good example. Its changing menu features local foods and produce and it has a cute ambiance. Of course, it's also nice to have a great group of friends to try different places with.

Jungle Jim's Fun- July 10, 2009

Jungle Jim's is what I like to call the Disneyland of grocery stores. You can get almost anything you want there from international delights to fresh vegetables. Good times.

Pre-4th of July Celebration- July 3, 2009

We finally made it out to Knotty Pine on the Bayou and it was a fun culinary adventure. Crawfish, frog legs, etouffee. After, Cathy, Patty, Heather, and her husband headed to bed and Missy, Ndidi and I met up with some of the medicine boys in Northside for the Northside Rocks pre-4th of July celebration. While they weren't the bands we expected, the "fire people" were oddly entertaining.

"Intern" Canoe Trip- June 25, 2009

After 2 years wait, we finally got to go on the intern canoe trip. It was well worth it. A great day in the blazing hot sun, sipping cold beers with good company and cool water. So what we took 4.5h to go 3 miles. Paddling is overrated.

S if for Sharice- June 24, 2009

To celebrate the end of 2nd year, we got all the way to S. Sharice was gracious enough to host at 36 weeks in her pregnancy and made quite the Korean bbq. Tara added a delicious ice cream cake and all was right in the world.

Botanica and Sabor- June 23, 2009

One of the best parts about going home is seeing old friends. I'm lucky that a lot of them stayed for residency and were available to enjoy the botanica gardens and eat some really delicious Spanish food. The ceviche didn't quite live up to Peru's, but the mango mojito was mmm, mm good.
